Review: Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar in Milk Blurring

7/08/2017

I have always wanted to get my hands on Laneige's Two Tone Lip Bar. The hype for this pretty lip bars ignited through Lee Sung Kyung, and yes, because of the growing influence of Korean pop culture in the country. Korean celebrities are often seen with gradient lips that look perfect and flawless. I think the creation of this two tone lip bar is heaven sent because you can re-create the signature gradient lips made famous by Korean celebrities effortlessly.

As you can see, the product is enclosed in a pretty white plastic casing with metal-ish accent. The box appears to be holographic printed with Hangul all over. Using the product, you just have to pull the cap off and push the lever/switch downwards.

I have the shade #4 in Milk Blurring. I fell in love with it at first swipe since it's very easy to apply and doesn't dry the lips. The darkest shade settles into a semi-matte finish while the lightest shade creates a balm-like effect on the lips. It's very moisturizing, does not accentuate the lines and dry patches on the lips.

However, to not mess up the colors when applying the product, be sure to swipe the square-ish side to the right and not the diagonal part of the lip bar.

I don't think this product have any scent, at all. Or if it has, it's very faint. Since this is a moisturizing lipstick, it's not all that transfer proof but still leaves a faint tint on the lips overtime.

Here's a photo of myself using the two tone lip bar in #4 milk blurring
The lipstick is pigmented without going over the top. It looks very natural on the lips that's good for everyday use. So far, I'm loving the formula and how this lip bar looks on me. I'm planning to purchase another one soon.

P R O S:

  • The collection have a wide range of shades available.
  • Very moisturizing.
  • Effortless gradient lip.
  • Pigmented.
  • Doesn't accentuate dry patches and lines of the lips.
  • Lasts for a fair good amount of time.

C O N S:
  • A bit pricey.
Rating: 4.5/5
