My Top Five Korean Beauty & Skincare Picks

8/29/2017

It's been almost a year since I switched to using mostly Korean beauty and skincare products, and overtime, I've gained favorites and holy grail products. Without a doubt, Korean products took the beauty world by storm by introducing fresh concepts that truly delivers what they promised. So for this post, I thought of sharing to you my top Korean beauty and skincare products that I regularly use. Enjoy reading! :)

Peripera Airy Ink Velvet in #5 Elf Light Rose

I gotta admit that this became a staple inside my make-up kit whenever I go out to run some errands or to attend day events. It's the perfect shade of pink that's not overwhelming but rather looks very natural when dried. What I also like about this lip tint, aside from being long-lasting, is how comfortable it is when applied onto the lips--like you are not wearing anything at all. It's very lightweight, pigmented, and a small amount of product goes along way too.

Missha The Style 4D Mascara

I'm not very blessed with thick and extra long lashes, that's why I use mascara every now and then. I used to rely on using a Western-branded mascara until I discovered this amazing product about three months ago. One thing I love about this Missha The Style 4D Mascara is its slim wand that's very efficient to use; it also doesn't clump my lashes! This mascara lengthens and adds volume to the lashes without making them look very unnatural. Plus, it's really affordable--a major plus point for me.

A'pieu Airfit XP Cushion in #23

I haven't reviewed this cushion yet, that's why I'm just gonna give you a short feedback about it here. My first ever cushion was its sister, Missha Magic M Cushion, but thought it was a bit dewy for me. I chose the XP variant over the Pposong one since I wanted a semi-matte finish. Compared to Missha, this cushion from A'pieu is on the watery side. This allows you to have a better coverage and the product gets absorbed quickly by the skin while leaving you with a powdery finish but still leaves a bit of dewiness to the complexion (if you get what I mean huhuhu). I also think that A'pieu is a bit darker compared to Missha's #23. Over-all, the performance of this cushion is amazing and I love how it makes me look so flawless. Hahaha.

Elizavecca Skin Liar Primer

Aside from this primer being extra affordable (P280 per tube, ya'll!), I love how this makes my skin silky smooth! You know what they say, the foundation of good make-up is a clean and smooth canvass! And yes, this primer does all the work. I always use this whenever I go on duty back when I was still working as a staff nurse and believe it or not, it holds my concealer in place for a good 6-7 hours without re-touching. I also believe that this is works good in making you look oil-free! The scent of this primer also reminds me of Bath and Body Work's White Tea & Ginger Body Mist. Hehehe.

Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

This aloe vera gel is my holy grail among my holy grail list and will always be my go to moisturizer! I am so glad I use this one regularly and I think I am already on my 2nd tub (one tub usually lasts me around 2-3 months since I only use it for my face). In all honesty, I would like to commend this product for making my skin hydrated and keeping it acne-free (except during THOSE days of the month lol). It's also very affordable too--making it a good investment when you wanted to start your skincare routine. I also have one of the spray type of the same variant, I use that one to prep my skin before applying my make-up, and trust me, the output is much much better.

These are the top Korean products I actually swear by! Have you tried any of them? Let me know in the comments section below! :)

  1. Ang cute ng packaging talaga ng kbeauty products. Hehe. I want to try Peripera. Mas maganda ba yung Airy Ink Velvet kesa dun sa isa? :) Aloe vera gel is my holy grail too!

    1. Helloooo!!!

Kung gusto mo ng super natural lang yung finish, go for the airy velvet! Yung ink velvet lang, super pigmented siya. May difference din sila sa finish. Yung airy velvet parang super soft and smooth sya when applied (although medyo amoy soap, but bearable naman). Yung ink velvet amoy cupcake and parang mousse-y yung texture nya :)

Yeeees, sobrang nice ng aloe vera gel!!
